Whenever I think about LK, my mind just automatically goes to the 2-3 year old version of him. He was such a cute, chubby little toddler. He was silly; he LOVED his baby sister (this pic was taken the day she was born). He loved all things Thomas the Tank Engine.
In reality, this is LK now... nearly 8 1/2 years old. He's still silly, but no longer chubby at all. He's skinny, athletic, sensitive, and funny. He still loves his sister, though the relationship isn't quite as "adoring" as it was in the picture above. He will still watch Thomas, if it is requested by his sister. He prefers reading and playing basketball and baseball.
I've loved the 9-12 month age with all 3 of my kids, and with The Baby being almost 18 months, those memories are still fresh in my mind. This picture is from last summer... I love his little nearly bald head, curiosity, and even his refusal to stay on the blanket laid out for him to sit on.
And, here is The Baby now... happy and easy-going, loving his first time sledding with Daddy yesterday. His vocabulary is beginning to explode, and he's picking up new words almost daily. He loves to eat, play, and pick up after the rest of us. :) (No, really, he gets annoyed when things aren't put away and will spend a lot of time and energy putting away shoes, toys, laundry, etc.)

Love this blog post Ami. I think is is funny that The Baby likes to pick up after you. Sooo cute :)
Sister- I love this post. I love hearing Scotch talk as a toddler. AWWW so cute! I always think of LK as a little, also. AND....even though LK looks like you and Scotch looks like Erin- at least one of your kids got something from their Auntie Ashley- sounds like Baby is a baby after my own heart with his picking up after everybody and getting annoyed when things aren't put away. This is probably a better trait than my looks, anyhow. HA!
