When I think of Scotch, I think of her as a toddler, too. This is one of my favorite videos of her, a month or so before she turned 2. You can see her love for her big brother here as she calls him over to dance with her. Even at this young age, her strong personality was beginning to show itself. She knew what she wanted, and when she wanted it... and she always let us know, too.
And, this is Scotch now, a few weeks past her 4th birthday. She still loves her big brother, and she still knows what she wants and when she wants it. She is a "little mother" to her baby brother and her many, many baby dolls.
I've loved the 9-12 month age with all 3 of my kids, and with The Baby being almost 18 months, those memories are still fresh in my mind. This picture is from last summer... I love his little nearly bald head, curiosity, and even his refusal to stay on the blanket laid out for him to sit on.
And, here is The Baby now... happy and easy-going, loving his first time sledding with Daddy yesterday. His vocabulary is beginning to explode, and he's picking up new words almost daily. He loves to eat, play, and pick up after the rest of us. :) (No, really, he gets annoyed when things aren't put away and will spend a lot of time and energy putting away shoes, toys, laundry, etc.)
